As the business analyst, you will use business knowledge and analytical abilities to provide recommendations, insights, and tactical/strategic plans to drive business decisions.Our ideal candidate for this role is someone that thrives in a fast-paced operations environment, enjoys collaboration across teams, and proactively make recommendations to improve organizational performance.Banking experience is not required. Experience in military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production, or distribution environments are also desired.Location: Federal Reserve Bank San Francisco Branch Applicants must be able to report to work on-site. Most of the job requires on-site presence, with some options of Work-From-Home. 101 Market StreetSan Francisco, CA 94105What you'll do- Continuously monitor and assess operational activities to address gaps in procedural requirements while also making risk informed recommendations to management.
- Apply extensive attention to detail when preparing and reviewing documentation, work papers, interview summaries, and findings.
- Ensure compliance assessment reports are accurate, thorough, and contain sufficient information upon which to validate compliant or non-compliant outcomes.
- Conduct and document discussions with compliance personnel and cash management, work with computerized information systems to extract and analyze information, as well as draft and communicate findings to the management team.
- Present compliance information to various stakeholders including senior management.
- Assist with the development and delivery of training on operational processes and technical systems.
- Provide consultation to the leadership team on policy and procedural requirements.
- Leverage historical audit performance data to understand risk and compliance performance, determine root cause for gaps in compliance, and work with leadership to create action plans to address gaps.
- Act as a liaison between SF Cash operations and audit stakeholders.
- Support 12th District Cash Group compliance activities by participating or leading in compliance reviews and consulting on policy and procedural requirements.
- Typically requires 2+ years of work-related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Ability to solve problems, apply critical thinking, and leverage data to understand and inform recommendations.
- Experience developing and performing risk assessments which includes risk planning, testing of data, processes, and controls, as well as reporting results.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to research, learn information quickly, and apply it effectively.
- Knowledge of the Cash group's operations, systems, and controls.
- Experience working independently and in collaborative team environment
- Experience collecting, transforming, analyzing, and reporting data to drive business decisions.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills with all levels of management and key decision makers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Typically has 5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience
- Ability to solve problems, apply critical thinking, and leverage data to understand and inform recommendations.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
