We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Doctor of Optometry (OD) to lead our practice at Eye Care Center in beautiful Lake Isabella, located in natural beauty just one hour from Sequoia National Forest and Red Rock Canyon State Park!

Eye Care Center is a part of Khaled A. Tawansy, M.D. INC., a medical multispecialty group practice offering various types of medical specialty care, mainly focusing on optometry and ophthalmology and also including dermatology. It is composed of 90+ employees working in 17 practice locations across central and southern California, including Bakersfield, Encino, Glendale, Glendora, Lake Isabella, Los Angeles, Lynwood, Palmdale, Pasadena, Pismo Beach, Poway (San Diego County), Riverside, San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Thousand Oaks, and Tulare.

As an Optometrist at Eye Care Center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the overall health of our patients' eyes. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation.

In this role, you will:

- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect any abnormalities or diseases

- Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or other appropriate treatments as necessary

- Provide expert advice and guidance on proper eye care and hygiene

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists, to coordinate patient care

- Educate patients on various eye conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures

- Conduct specialized examinations for specific patient populations, such as pediatrics or geriatrics

- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to evaluate eye health and diagnose conditions

- Stay up-to-date with advancements in optometry practices and technologies

- Partner with the practice staff to promote the practice and build patient volume

- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in optometry.

Job Requirements

Experience:

- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school

- Valid state license to practice optometry

If you've already graduated from an accredited School of Optometry and plan to become licensed shortly, until then, we can have a licensed official with you in person during the days that the clinic is open and that you're working.

- Proven experience in providing exceptional patient care

- Knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathology

- Familiarity with optical principles and lens options

- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and prescribing corrective lenses

- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages and backgrounds

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
