Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company, in their search for an

Oracle DBA Lead. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based out of San Antonio, TX/Irvine, CA (Onsite). The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical DB servers, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of the applications. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The person should have experience in leading the team.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ Years’ experience in database administration, operations, and production support.
  • Experience in leading a team with 10+ people in rotational shifts.
  • Excellent knowledge in resolving performance tuning issues.
  • Experience in Monitoring, backup/ Recovery Management, DB Provisioning/de-provisioning, DB refresh/restore, HA/DRE, Patching, migration, replication, and upgrades.
  • Understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
  • Experience in tools such as Service Now, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Ability to document solutions and train operational teams.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services or Azure is a plus.
  • Experience with automation, Ansible, and Python is a plus.
  • Experience in Sybase, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Cloud Control, SQL Server, Postgres, Cloudera, and Hadoop is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Flexible, team player, get-it-done personality.
  • Experience in Automation skills (Ansible etc).

Desirable Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to organize and plan work independently.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
  • Experience in the financial domain is a major plus.
  • Certifications in this area are a plus.

Pay Range for CA, CO, NJ, NY, WA: $60/hour to $65/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
