As a Packaging Technician at Turner Road Vinters, you will learn and preform various tasks in bottling production such as equipment cleaning and sanitizing, wine movement, and chemical addition. Maintain equipment and facilities, follow safety procedures, and uphold quality and GMP standards. Compensation: $21.92 - $29.62hour Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. What You''ll Do: Within the initial 6 months, complete training and exhibit competency in the following areas:

Forklift Operation

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

Material Loading

Upon Successful completion of training, the employee will:

Operate packaging equipment (such as CBP 32, shrink wrap, Weber Label printer), load appropriate packaging materials, and perform minimal troubleshooting after proper training on equipment (such as Helix, case packer, cap applicator, automatic wrapper).

Demonstrate situational awareness and urgency on the production floor.

Perform assigned housekeeping tasks in the warehouse, including replacing damaged product, palletizer cleaning, material removal, pallet relocation, and material staging.

Conduct equipment center changeovers, including building cellar lines, changing stock filters, flushing lines, and building return lines.

Send sanitation reports, work orders, validate wine supply approval, and close sanitation work orders in the Wine Manager system.

Operate the Innovation Packaging Line as assigned.

Operate all assigned equipment on the production line to meet production goals in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement and communicate ideas to leadership.

Conduct routine production quality checks and verification. Conduct routine production quality checks and verification.

Comply with E & J Gallo Winery's sustainability policies and practices for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling.

Prioritize safety, quality, and productivity.

Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and other departments.

Maintain satisfactory attendance and comply with quality, environmental, and safety regulations

What you will need:

High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate and 6 months of food and beverage production or operations experience; or, 18 months of food or beverage production or manufacturing experience.

Must be able to regularly lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs

Required to be physically capable of executing any job tasks within the bottling room or cellar operations.

Must be able to repetitively lift and uncase glass cases onto a conveyer belt.

Required to work rotating day and graveyard 11.75 hour-shift schedule, and overtime as needed.

Required to wear a respirator when necessary.

Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

Required to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Required to comply with company GMP policies.

Skilled in writing simple correspondence.

Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.

Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What wil set you apart:

High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of wine production or manufacturing experience.

Experience showing versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.

Experience operating a forklift proficiently.

Experience with Warehouse Management Systems

Proficient in using a computer

Experience being a team player.

Experience understanding and following written and verbal instructions.

Skilled in basic mathematical operations.
