United Staffing Associates is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance and administrative functions of a large property. This role combines hands-on facility care with technical and organizational responsibilities, including scheduling, documentation, and vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively performing maintenance, tracking projects, and supporting management with reporting, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and maintenance planning using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Facilities Manager with maintenance scheduling, project tracking, and inventory management.

Use Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare RFPs, update inventory records, maintain the master maintenance schedule, and document ongoing projects.

Inspect facilities, equipment, and systems regularly to ensure safe and proper operation.

Perform light maintenance and repairs in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general facility upkeep.

Maintain outdoor and landscaped areas, including trimming, irrigation, and groundskeeping.

Conduct minor masonry, paver, or stucco repairs when needed.

Operate maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and power tools safely.

Maintain organized storage and tool areas; ensure all safety protocols are followed.

Report facility, equipment, or safety concerns promptly to management.

Participate in weekly meetings and provide on-call support for occasional emergencies.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in facility maintenance, repair, or related trades.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for creating reports, tracking data, and managing documentation.

Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and irrigation systems.

Experience maintaining landscaping and grounds, including irrigation and plant care.

Familiarity with masonry, concrete, and paver work preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills with great attention to detail

Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety and quality standards.

Ability to operate maintenance tools, vehicles, and small machinery.

Valid driver’s license preferred.

Pay:

$20/hr

Schedule:

Part-Time 9am-4:30pm (weekdays)
