Part-Time IHSS Caregiver (26 Hours/Week)

Position Type: Part-Time (IHSS Program)

Schedule: 26 hours per week, with potential for additional hours.

Preferred Candidate: Compassionate and experienced female caregiver

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate IHSS Caregiver to provide part-time assistance to a female recipient who is bed and wheelchair-bound. The ideal candidate is experienced, professional, and dedicated to providing quality in-home support.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Daily blood pressure monitoring

Bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance

Basic meal preparation

Support with bladder and bowel incontinence care

Mobility exercises to aid in rehabilitation

Assistance with bed-to-wheelchair transfers using a transfer board

Medication assistance (pre-packaged medications—caregiver will retrieve and assist recipient at designated medication times, and update the medication log as needed)

Qualifications:

Must be reliable, professional, and punctual

Prior caregiving experience is required

Ability to perform physical tasks, including safe patient transfers

Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor

Must be enrolled in California’s In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program
