Description We are in search of a Patient Access Representative to join our team in Templeton, California. This role is centered around ensuring accurate and timely patient registration, verification of insurance, and maintenance of patient records. It is a short term contract employment opportunity in the healthcare industry.Responsibilities: Conduct patient interviews to gather necessary account information Verify insurance details and calculate patient liability amounts Obtain necessary signatures for treatment procedures Respond to patient inquiries, providing clear explanations of policies Ensure the correct attachment of physician orders to patient records for the right tests Print and distribute necessary paperwork for each patient Escort patients to their respective areas or refer them to available escorts when necessary Conduct research to ensure accuracy when choosing the correct health plan Enter all authorization information accurately Monitor patient accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements Proficiency in executing office functions and managing paperwork with high accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to research and interpret policy guidelines related to patient access and health plans. Experience in insurance verification and understanding of medical coverage policies. Ability to accurately maintain and update patient medical records and patient registration information. Knowledge of the process for obtaining authorizations for vaccines, vaccinations, and mumps treatment. Commitment to ensure accuracy in all patient-related documentation and liability agreements. Excellent communication skills to effectively answer and address patient inquiries. Ability to coordinate with medical staff to verify insurance coverage and patient access details. Familiarity with handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality of patient records. Proven experience in managing patient access in a healthcare setting.
