Description We are actively seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Patient Care Coordinator to join our dedicated healthcare team. The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for our diverse patients, and performing front desk tasks in our clinic. This integral role serves as the first point of contact for our patients and assists in maintaining an efficient and orderly workflow within the clinic.Responsibilities:

Welcome and check-in patients upon their arrival, ensuring efficient and timely service.

Collect co-payments and verify insurance coverage.

Schedule patient appointments, and manage cancellations and rescheduling.

Answer incoming calls, transferring calls as necessary, and perform general administrative duties.

Maintain patient databases by inputting and updating patient information.

Provide interpretative services for non-English speaking patients, ensuring clear and effective communication between medical staff and patients.

Assist in the navigation of patient needs, including answer questions about services, costs, policies, and procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to foster a comfortable and serene environment.

Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective and seamless patient care journey.

Requirements

Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

High School Diploma; additional training in Medical Administration is a plus.

Prior experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role is preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse patients, medical professionals, and staff members.

Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance processes, and basic healthcare administration.

Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Knowledge of MS Office and data entry.

Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
