Description We are seeking an experienced Patient Registration professional to join our dynamic Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing the flow of patients through the department, efficiently collecting demographic information, and possessing expertise in verifying insurance and managing co-payments. This position is Monday - Friday from 11 am - 7 pm with rotating weekends. Responsibilities:

Register patients upon arrival in the Emergency Department, documenting all necessary demographic and insurance information in a timely and accurate manner.

Consistently follow department procedures related to registration, including verification of insurance coverage and patient eligibility.

Collect co-payments and provide clear information to patients about the billing procedures and payment policies.

Maintain a compassionate demeanor while handling sensitive situations with patients and their families, all while ensuring adherence to privacy and confidentiality laws and regulations.

Communicate effectively with medical staff to ensure seamless transitions for the patient from intake through treatment.

Maintaining patient records by updating account information, as needed.

Assist with other administrative tasks, as needed.

Requirements

Requirements:

Previous experience in Emergency Department patient registration is required. Candidates must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this field.

Strong data entry and computer skills, with proficiency in medical software systems.

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with patients and medical professionals under stressful circumstances.

High level of professionalism and the capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information.

The ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and think critically in a fast-paced environment. Military veterans are encouraged to apply.
