This person will learn how to ensure a positive patient experience throughout the registration process in multiple areas of registration. They will insure appropriate reimbursement for services rendered primary duties taught will include:a.) Appropriate patient identificationb.) Collecting accurate and thorough patient demographic datac.) Obtaining insurance information and verifying eligibility and benefitsd.) Determining and collecting patient financial liabilitye.) Referring patients to the Patient Registration Specialist as needed for assistance with financial counseling and/or clearanceThe Patient Registration Representative Apprentice will work side-by-side with a Registration Representative assigned to them to ensure they adhere to the organizations policies and procedures for resolution of patient financial liability. Additionally the Patient Registration Representative Apprentice will learn to be an information source for patients and patients families by explaining hospital policies patient financial responsibilities and Patient Rights and Responsibilities.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: This is a temporary position.

High school diploma GED or equivalent

Minimum 6 months of customer-facing customer experience working role either employed or as a volunteer basis

Attention to detail

Ability to multi-task in a hectic environment

Excellent communication skills

Desire to learn revenue cycle in a health care environment

Ability to work with other financial and clinical departments

Familiar with multiple computer systems.
