Description We are in the process of hiring a Payroll Administrator to join our healthcare team based in Salinas, California. This role involves managing payroll tasks in hospitals and social assistance settings. You will be given a contract to hire employment opportunity in this role.Responsibilities: Calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, and deductions in an accurate and timely manner. Preparing and issuing earnings statements to employees. Managing direct deposits and issuing paychecks. Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date employee records. Coordinating with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data. Utilizing skills in Benefits Payroll, Automated Payroll, Certified Payroll, and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) to perform job functions effectively. Ensuring all payroll activities adhere to federal and state laws and company policies. Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns. Collaborating with the finance department to align payroll with company budget. Implementing changes in payroll, such as wage adjustments and benefit deductions. Requirements Possess a strong understanding and ability to manage Benefits Payroll Proficient in handling Automated Payroll systems Experience with Certified Payroll management is a must Holds a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) qualification Familiarity with the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion Excellent problem-solving/judgement skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
