Payroll Manager

Description Robert Half is actively recruiting for a strong Payroll Manager/ Consultant for an ESOP owned Manufacturing and Construction client in the Inland Empire. The consultant’s primary responsibilities will be managing a staff of 4 to ensure weekly payroll is accurately and efficiently processed for approximately 700 exempt and nonexempt employees. The consultant will be well-versed with Union payroll and able to answer ad-hoc questions and situations about California Labor Laws. The consultant will complete monthly and quarterly reporting, produce payroll balance sheet account reconciliations (FSA, 401k, Tax Liabilities, Workers Comp, etc.), and liaise with cross functional teams in finance on reconciliations and reporting. This consulting opportunity will be located onsite in Jurupa Valley, CA. Skills: -Knowledge of payroll systems Paychex, Workforce.com ( big plus) -Understanding of Accounting ERP (Dynamics 365 ideal )-Intermediate Excel skills required (VLook Ups, Pivot Tables)Soft Skills

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Payroll management role ( within the construction or contractor industry ideal) Proven knowledge and experience in Full Cycle Payroll Demonstrable experience in using Paychex Payroll system Familiarity with Union Payroll processes and requirements Proficiency in processing payroll effectively and efficiently Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for payroll data management and reporting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is preferred Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work Ability to manage and meet strict deadlines Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex payroll issues Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and requirements Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
