Please log into Workday and click on Menu or View All Apps, select the Jobs Hub app, then click the magnifying glass to Browse Jobs.Job Purpose/OverviewUnder the direct supervision of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the accuracy of all aspects of payroll processing for a multi-jurisdictional global company. The position will also be expected to perform a limited variety of accounting and/or administrative tasks. This position will operate in a fast-paced environment and the job will require a strong work ethic, constant attention to detail and deadlines, and the ability to learn quickly. This position provides first in class customer service by responding to employee payroll inquiries efficiently and accurately.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for all activities necessary to process payroll on a variety of schedules, including maintaining related records, preparing accounting transactions and audit support, and preparing reports for management.

Review and audit payroll records and reports prior to payroll transmission.

Issue and record adjustments to pay related to errors or retroactive changes.

Maintain payroll files for department.

Track, resolve and respond to employee’s issues in a timely manner.

Route more complex employee questions to Payroll Manager or Accounting Manager.

Assist Payroll Manager as needed and acts as department backup.

Function in the WORKDAY system and input personnel changes into the system that are applicable to payroll.

Process wage garnishments and withholdings.

Answer emails promptly and accurately.

Keep employee records and computer records updated with current employee information on the payroll side.

Answer questions regarding payroll policies.

Maintain complete confidentiality throughout all aspects of job.

Coordinate with Supervisors to ensure all employee requests for time off and timecards are submitted and approved in a timely manner.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Minimum 1 year of accounting and/or Payroll experience required

Experience with multi-state payrolls preferred

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred

Previous Workday software experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent customer service skills and professionalism including patience, ability to listen and follow up effectively with all staffing levels.

Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and electronic.

Ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment.

Ability to maintain confidentiality for all information, whether told or overheard.

Proven ability to self-start and multi-task.

Ability to prioritize and organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines.

Intermediate ability with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Must possess sound decision-making skills awhile working in an environment of stress with specific deadlines.

TravelUp to 5%Working ConditionsThe associate is regularly required to apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboarding. The associate frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is frequently required to hear and speak in order to use the telephone, make presentations and communicate with people in an office or virtual environment. The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.The associate will primarily work in a typical office environment or a remote home office. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The associate will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, database management, email, video conferencing and the Internet. The associate is frequently required to use a calculator; fax, copy machine, and phone system. The associate must occasionally use media equipment such as an overhead projector, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams. Environment where pets are present.The Target Pay Range for this position is $28.00 -$33.00 an hour.
