Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Payroll Specialist to join our HR department. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing payroll for the organization, ensuring that all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner.Responsibilities:

Processing payroll for employees, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets and withholdings.

Work directly with HR and Accounting departments in implementing payroll operations.

Prepare payroll reports for management and accounting purposes.

Ensure compliance with tax laws in payroll practices.

Verify overtime, holidays, and vacation time calculations and deductions.

Analyze, audit, reconcile and resolve payroll processing and employee payroll issues to ensure smooth payroll processing.

Process employee termination payments according to company policy and state laws.

Keep up-to-date with government legislation impacting payroll.

Handle and resolve tax notices while partnering with an outsourced tax service.

Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in finance, business administration or relevant field.

Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in an HR or accounting department.

Extensive knowledge of general payroll practices, tax procedures, and payroll software.

Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail.

Strong ability to work on deadlines.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to maintain records and create reports.

Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal payroll and tax regulations.

Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus, not required.
