Payroll Specialist/Accounts Payable

Description Job Description:Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Specialist/Accounts Payable Specialist to join a dynamic team in Poway, California. This role is essential for supporting the company’s payroll and accounts payable processes during a period of transition and outsourcing of payroll functions. The successful candidate will initially dedicate 75% of their time to payroll tasks and 25% to accounts payable. Once the payroll transition is complete, the focus will shift fully to accounts payable.Key Responsibilities:Payroll Responsibilities (Initial Focus):

Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.

Maintain and regularly update customer credit records.

Address customer inquiries promptly.

Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions.

Review timecards for approval and conduct spot checks on Paid Time Off (PTO).

Handle garnishments, insurance claims, and track bonuses, sick time, and vacation time.

Use Paylocity, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), and SAP for daily operations.

Communicate with vendors like Paylocity regarding out-of-state payroll matters.

Prepare expense reports and handle employee reimbursements.

Accounts Payable Responsibilities:

Manage the AP inbox and process vendor invoices.

Perform 2-way and 3-way matches for invoice processing.

Prepare weekly check runs, perform analysis, and obtain CFO approval.

Maintain communication with 50-80 vendors weekly.

Handle daily matching, coding, and processing of 30-40 invoices.

Ensure timely payment of vendors, preparing checks as needed.

Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
