Peoplesoft GL/KK Financials Functional LeadLocation: Remote plus some travel Duration: 12+ monthsStart Date: Mid-July 2022

Job Description:
  • Manages the work performed by staff assigned to financial reporting, General Ledger, Commitment Control, analytical reviews, general ledger reconciliations and processes.
  • Implements and maintains reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.
  • Performs highly complex accounting work related to pension, other post- employment benefits, debt accounting, lease accounting, and investment accounting. Technical areas covered include public sector and government industry accounting as applied to the review of enterprise funds, internal service funds, agency funds, internal work order transactions, and interdepartmental transfers to determine proper accounting treatment.
  • Leads, performs, and supervises implementation of new and complex government accounting standards at citywide level including upcoming accounting regulations from the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
  • Manages the production of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) which includes ensuring that the financial reports of various City entities (e.g. component units and enterprises) are completed.
  • Coordinates the reporting and audits related to the client’s Financial Statements.

Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.2 software development and a minimum of 8 years of PeopleSoft [Financials - GL and Commitment Control]
  • CPA preferred
  • Extensive experience completing at least 5 large scale, full lifecycle implementations and upgrades; involving large number of users and multiple locations.
  • 5 -7 years PeopleSoft [Financial] data and data models experience.
  • 5+ years of PeopleTools, current experience with 9.2 preferred.
  • 5+ years of PeopleCode, SQL and SQR.
  • 3+ years utilizing PeopleSoft Application Engine and Application Messaging, including custom development using Application Designer.
  • At least 4 Public Sector projects, preferred.
  • 8+ years of consulting experience, preferred.
  • Experience with configuration strategy preparation (migration, procedures & practices, determining automated and manual methods, etc.)
  • Strong skills with developing and debugging application engine programs.
  • Effective written and verbal communications a must, with presentation experience.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
