We are now looking for a Research Scientist Intern, Human Visual Perception! NVIDIA is searching for a highly-skilled researcher in human visual perception to join our research team in exploring perceptual issues related to enhancing the video conferencing experience. You will be conducting original research for human visual perception in a complex visual environment, including measuring and modeling human visual perception while using novel visual devices or applications. You will be working with other researchers or product teams to evaluate or steer the direction of research prototypes or NVIDIA products. You will summarize your research findings in high-quality scientific publications. What you'll be doing:

Define your research, design and execute human subject experiments on visual perception.

Publish your original research and present at top-tier conferences and events.

Collaborate with other research team members, a diverse set of internal product teams, and external researchers.

Have a broader impact through transfer and/or open-source of the technology you've developed to relevant product groups.

What we need to see:

You have experience conducting controlled behavioral experiments. Experience with eye tracking a plus.

You are firmly knowledgeable in data science and statistics.

Strong communication skills and ability to convey research ideas to a broad audience.

A strong research record with publications in top human perception or human-computer interaction conferences.

Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. degree in Cognitive Science, Psychology, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.

You are proficient in programming languages, preferably C, python, and MATLAB.

Experience with 3D graphics tools such as Unreal, Maya, or Unity3D a plus.

The hourly rate for our interns is $19 - $93.
