Job Summary This paragraph summarizes the general nature, level and purpose of the job. The Physician Relations Project Manager's primary function is to lead the reporting, tracking and execution of projects for Physician Relations and more broadly, the Business Development Team. Coordinates and manages the programming, planning, implementation and monitoring of department-wide projects, initiatives and ongoing efforts. In partnership with the department leadership, uses data, SWOTs and focus groups to analyze issues to identify projects that support strategic plans and goals. Ensures the completion of projects are on schedule and meet all program objectives and appropriate regulations. The Project Manager will bring new and innovative ideas, techniques, and opportunities to the forefront to foster continuous improvement within the department. Facilitates cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders to align goals and deliverables. In collaboration with department leadership, develops and presents business cases to obtain project sponsorship, budget, and resource allocation.

Manages, assesses, and documents project scope and program, describing the objectives, stakeholder identification, resource requirements, parameters, risks and benefits of the project, timelines and tracks and communicates ongoing performance against goals.

Develops and maintains project charters to include purpose, objectives, scope, risk mitigation, metrics, timeline, communication plan, and deliverables, debrief, and measurements.

Develop and manage local and regional physician relation/physician marketing events such as physician provider meetings, education sessions, physician engagement events, and other provider related activities with internal clients, referring physicians, and established partners that have relevance for Stanford Medicine Children¿s Health.

Documents current and future-state processes and assists in the development and implementation of operational workflows. Creates step by step process flow documents for team access and to follow.

Ensures projects are progressing at appropriate timelines. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity and quality goals and deliverables. Monitors project deliverable progress and impacts and adjusts as needed.

Provides communications on a regular and timely basis, ensuring that all project participants are informed of project status, barriers, and required actions. Creates communication and change management plans for all types of stakeholders. Conducts project debrief sessions, identifies lessons learned, and applies the lessons learned to future projects.

Manages Salesforce (Physician Relationship Management software) including, but not limited to, workflow updates, creating standard operating procedures for the Physician Liaisons, collaborating with the marketing team to develop email collateral to be sent through Salesforce , creating and sending out Salesforce emails, monitoring stats and creating PowerPoint decks for leadership regarding Salesforce metrics.

In collaboration with the Physician Relations team, captures data, performs analysis, interprets results, develops summaries and generates optimal, effective, and innovative visual displays to inform and operationally support department leaders, and business operation improvement initiatives and priorities.

In collaboration with applicable partners, develops and implements training around project deliverables that result in changes in process, procedures, policy, etc.

Continuous evaluation of Physician Relations workflow processes. Supports process optimization efforts by leveraging usage of technology across Physician Relations.

Serves as the point of contact in the coordination of Physician Relations Events.

Develop, manage, and distribute COE or service line specific information or other requested collateral as needed/requested to referring providers. Collaborate with marketing managers, department leads, and practice administrators as needed for copywriting/editing, creative assets, and distribution lists. Prioritize distribution of content including department and company goals.

Manage the coordination of efforts related to Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities in partnership with the Stanford School of Medicine CME Team for Physician Relations and Innovation initiatives.

Manage posting and removal of Physician Relations materials on the Stanford Children¿s Health consumer website and intranet portal.

Ensures processes used across the Physician Relations team when organizing physician to physician talks and presentations are consistent. Develops and updates physician marketing materials including, but not limited to, the Physician Relations Directories and content templates.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a work - related discipline / field from an accredited college or university

Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

License / Certification: None required. Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

Pay Range Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
