This position is contingent on contract award.This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program.  The person in this position will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide services outlined below: International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is looking for an individual who is an experienced urologist to diagnose and treat conditions related to the urinary tract and male reproductive system, providing comprehensive care that includes medical management, surgical procedures, and patient education. The role is crucial in improving patients' quality of life through the treatment of diseases such as kidney stones, bladder dysfunction, and prostate disorders.  Key Responsibilities:Perform: Lymphatic Major Procedures, Abdominal Major Procedures, I&D Prostatic Abscess, Prostate Procedures, Urethra Procedures, Ureter Major Procedures, Epididymis and Spermatic Cord Procedures, Bladder Procedures, Kidney Major Procedures, Penis Procedures, Scrotum Procedures, Testis Procedures, Endoscopy Procedures, and should be able to use holmium laser, ESWL, and able to perform fluoroscopy.Provide clinical urology services including evaluating and treating patients in a Urological outpatient clinic daily, seeing patients on consult, coordinating referral of consults.Perform cystoscopies, surgeries and other related urology procedures and basic urological care.Make in patient rounds for Urological patients.Perform cystoscopies in clinic and will perform vasectomies, scrotal surgeries, ureteroscopies, transurethral surgeries for prostate disease and bladder cancer. Robotics, laparoscopies and major complex urologic surgery not required.Be present on time for any scheduled clinics or surgeries as documented by physical presence in the clinic or operating room at the scheduled start time.Provide direct patient care including specialty exams such as compensation and pension, agent orange, etc., as it pertains to urological conditions only.Communicate test results in accordance with VHA Directive 1088, Communicating Test Results to Providers and Patients.Follow all established medication policies and procedures. No sample medications shall be provided to patients.Provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all urology clinical or surgical patients.Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings with committee participation as required by the facility Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or designee.Attend staff meetings as required by the facility Chief of Service, Chief of Staff, or designee.
