Job Description

As Pipeline Operations Manager, you will play a key role in driving pipeline operations and business visibility for the Freshworks' Business Development Team (Sales). The Pipeline Operations Manager is a key role; working tirelessly in enabling pipeline visibility, growth, and velocity. This role is a balance of communicator (e.g. meetings, emails, readouts) and operational planner (analysis, planning, project summaries). You will be a key resource for Sales leaders in identifying and documenting pipeline-centric challenges - and play an important role in solving business challenges through cross-org collaboration (Biz Apps, IT, Marketing, etc).

As the Pipeline Operations Manager, your (typical) week will include: weekly check-ins with Sales and Marketing leaders, documenting status on ongoing projects and initiatives, driving ongoing data structure or related technical tasks, and engaging in ad hoc analysis to identify root-cause issues.

The ideal candidate has a passion for helping people and a knack for teaching technical concepts to non-technical personnel. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pipeline Analytics and Operations, you will play a key role on a team that supports Pipeline Operations at a global scale.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Math, Business, or comparable technical concentration
  • Experience: minimum 3 to 5+ years driving Operations processes as an individual contributor and/or team lead
  • Demonstrable experience roadmapping and driving projects from planning to roll-out (multi-stage delivery) in a global business environment
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally (e.g. Biz Apps, Sales, Marketing, Finance) to identify and solve common business issues, develop operational steps in improving processes, and implementing operational protocols to ensure future success
  • Ability to manage simultaneous tasks and deliverables in a fast-paced, globally-integrated, technology-oriented environment with autonomy to drive towards business goals without an obvious path to success
  • Experience working first-hand with Senior Director and VP level Sales leaders - providing status updates, documenting business needs, and providing follow up on any pending items
  • Knowledge of common Sales roles and principles (e.g. BDR, AE, Sales Funnel, Forecast Category, Conversion %, etc)
  • Comfortable presenting data and related insights to global and regional Sales and Marketing leaders
  • Passionate about helping organizations understand and solve large scale business challenges through reporting and analytics and streamlining operational efforts
  • Familiarity with G-Suite and related tools

Prior experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred, but not required (great to have):
  • Familiarity with the Agile Methodology or other Project Management protocols
  • Demonstrable experience building reports and dashboards using BI visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc)
  • Familiarity with database technologies and tools (SQL/R/SAS/JMP etc.), data transformation and processing. Work experience with real data for customer business and market analysis is ideal
  • Experience with Freshworks products (Freshsales (CRM) is a huge plus!)
