Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller in the manufacturing industry, situated in Riverside, California. As a Plant Controller, you will oversee the plant's financial operations, including cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. You will play an instrumental role in tracking production costs, inventory, operational expenses, and implementing cost-reduction measures to optimize the profitability of the plant.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the plant's financial operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes. Handle cost accounting tasks, including full absorption costing and standard costing, to ensure proper allocation of costs. Collaborate closely with senior management, providing insights and recommendations on business decisions based on financial analysis. Ensure a comfortable working environment in an industrial manufacturing setting and promote best practices. Leverage strong analysis skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights, utilizing tools such as Excel Pivot tables, V Lookups, and database accounting software. Utilize SYSPRO or similar accounting software to manage and analyze financial information. Conduct month-end close processes diligently, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and timely. Monitor and manage the plant's budgeting and forecasting processes, providing regular updates to the management team. Implement cost-reduction measures based on thorough analysis of production costs, inventory, and other operational expenses. Prepare for audits by ensuring all financial information is accurate and readily available, and implement corrective actions based on audit findings. Requirements Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role (Plant Controller) within the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in Accounting Functions, Annual Budget preparation, Auditing, and Budget Processes. Expertise in Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, and Standard Cost Accounting is essential. Experience with Month End Close, Month-end Financials, Month-end Journal Entries, and Month-end Reports is required. Familiarity with Monthly Accruals process. Ability to Analyze Financial Statements, prepare Financial Statement and Financial Statement Preparation. Proficiency in using SYSPRO software for financial management. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred. detail oriented certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes. Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
