As an international leader in biomedical research, we translate discoveries into successful treatments with global impact.We invite you to consider and apply for this position and discover how your career can be transformed at Cedars-Sinai!Principal Investigator, Dr. Sean Li, PhD, is looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the team!Xue (Sean) Li, PhD, leads a research lab at Cedars-Sinai’s Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, investigating sex differences in development and diseases. Major discoveries include the discovery of lysine demethylase 6A (KDM6A) as the first prototypical sex-biased bladder tumor suppressor and androgen signaling promoting exhaustion of CD8+ T cells. Dr. Li has published original articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Nature, Science, Cancer Cell, PNAS and JCI.Working independently but in close cooperation and in consultation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists, the Postdoctoral Scientist will perform routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout training period. The incumbent may develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols. This position is not responsible for generating grant funds.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

May assist in preparation of grant proposals.

May participate in publications and presentations as author or co-author.

Designs and performs experiments.

Keeps appropriate experimental records and documentation and analyzes the results with the Principal Investigator.

Analyzes, interprets, summarizes, and compiles data.

Operates and maintains equipment and instruments.

Education:Doctorate (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacology, or related field is required.Experience:

Laboratory experience in drug recovery and natural products' research, and in vivo mouse models for anti-tumor efficacy and pharmacology is required.

Experience in Molecular Biology, tumor cell biology, microbiology, and protein purification and production.

Acquires technical and theoretical knowledge of research project and objectives during one to five (1-5) year post-doctoral appointment.

Works independently on research projects designed by a mentor (typically the PI) within area of specialization.

Experience as a first author in one or more publications or impactful body of work.
