Powertrain Test Engineer The Powertrain Team is seeking a talented Engineer with an interest in development, validation and calibration of powertrain control functions to meet legislative and company-specific targets across multiple hybrid and conventional powertrains, vehicles, and markets. The main functional responsibility of this position is to support vehicle level testing with a focus on powertrain performance, including emissions, OBD, and drivability.

Scope:
  • Coordinate the preparation and testing of powertrain durability vehicles
  • Coordinate emissions testing and resolve powertrain issues on durability vehicles
  • Perform root cause analysis of issues; develop and confirm countermeasures
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure proper software/hardware updates are made performance checks
  • Work with emissions lab to schedule testing and receive testing results
  • Review Reports and Trouble Shoot issues

Requirement:
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Experience with light-duty engine control units, especially Bosch control units
  • Understanding of light-duty emissions and OBD regulations
  • Proficiency with powertrain development tools such as INCA and Matlab/Simulink
  • Programing experience in either C, C, Python
