Preschool Teacher

Little Angels Preschool is seeking a part-time Teacher for upcoming 18-month-old class, Monday through Friday (8:30 start time, ending time yet to be determined). Potential to be a full-time position as class numbers increase.

Minimum qualifications for the position are:

At least 18 years of age

High School Diploma/GED

Minimum-15 COLLEGE UNITS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION/CHILD DEVELOPMENT, OF WHICH 3 UNITS NEED TO BE IN INFANT/TODDLER EDUCATION.

One year of experience working with preschool or younger children in a licensed facility

Be able to pass criminal background fingerprint check and pre-employment physical and TB test, all paid for by Little Angels

Vaccinations must be up-to-date and provide immunization record

Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time and kneel or sit on floor

Ability to work independently with a strong level of organizational skills

Have patience, flexibility and a passion for working with young children

Be able to communicate appropriately and professionally with toddlers and parents

Be able to work collaboratively with another teacher in the classroom

Quick learner

Must be able to multi-task

Possess good writing, speaking skills

Able to be fun and welcoming, yet also calm and caring

In this industry, timeliness and dependability is essential!

$21.00-$23.00 per hour. Benefits include PTO, paid vacation weeks, and paid holidays. Other eligible benefits once the position is full-time would include, employer paid health and life insurance, and an option for employee paid dental, Aflac, and retirement.
