Principal DevOps Engineer, Global eCommerce Platform

Skecher’s Digital Team is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer – Global eCommerce Platform reporting to the Director, Digital eCommerce Architecture. As the Principal DevOps Engineer – Global eCommerce Platform, you will lead a team of digital operations engineers to deliver a high-powered, cutting-edge web-based application to support the rapid growth of global eCommerce running Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware). You will work collaboratively with Product Owner’s, vendors, platform engineers, and business stakeholder’s to develop and create enterprise-level web applications that are both scalable and robust. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, have deep hands-on experience on development operations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-Extensive hands-on experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo.Implement, maintain, and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environments.Extensive experience in build / deploy / optimize processes on Salesforce Commerce Cloud.Extensive hands-on experience on evaluate and tune site performance.Creates technical and procedural documentation.Serve as a systems and automation evangelist providing thought leadership.Act as a subject matter expert on DevOps best practices with infrastructure as code, scaling and configuration management.Must be a part of large global scale production-grade implementation and deployments.Work with the security team to implement the work items recommended by the security team.Acts as a technical liaison between clients, service engineering teams, and support.Work with the product owner and business stakeholders to define feature requirements and set priorities.Partner with architects within cross-functional teams to discuss long-term technology strategy and provide objective information and data to help inform and drive critical technology decisions.Eliminate impediments to allow the development team to focus on their task.Mentor team individuals to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs and develop their careers.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES-Other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES-Yes
