Information Technology (IT) is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate to effectively deliver and operate high-quality technology solutions. The Technology Capabilities Architecture (TCA) Team is part of centralized Enterprise Strategy & Architecture (ES&A) group within IT. Our mission is to ensure PG&E meets its strategic objectives and maximize the effectiveness of the business by standardizing, optimizing, and harmonizing the technology portfolio.

Position Summary

Reporting to the TCA Senior Manager, the successful candidate in the role will be accountable for collaboratively defining and driving the target state architecture for Enterprise Integration for the company.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Analyze technology trends and spur innovation within Enterprise Integration Domain
  • Develop and maintain architectural artifacts including target architectures, short and long-term implementation roadmaps, architecture patterns, reference architectures, standards, opinion papers, and architecture decision frameworks
  • Provide technical leadership to project teams and drive them to make optimal design decisions
  • Facilitate technology forums to evangelize standards, best practices and reusability across projects
  • Establish and drive enterprise strategies and roadmaps that enable a portfolio to support current and future business and technology capabilities
  • Collaborate with Integration Development and Enterprise Integration Operations Support teams
  • Assist the Agile Program Management Office (APMO) and Lean-Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) in maintaining Value Streams and Portfolio Kanban
  • Lead Architecture Community of Practice Working Groups for assigned domains
  • Provide expert level consulting and collaboration in Enterprise Integration technologies for IT and for the various Business Departments
  • Lead API Governance Program, leverage reusable API standardization

Qualifications

Minimum:
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10 years of cumulative experience as an Enterprise and/or Solution Architect

Desired:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Experience with architecting in the following areas AWS, Azure, APIGee, Layer 7, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle, Salesforce
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and good judgment
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Thorough understanding of Lean/Agile principles
  • Relevant experience in the areas AWS, Azure, Salesforce, MuleSoft, DevSecOps, Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, Zachman ITIL Master, SAFe Agilist, and Six Sigma
  • Experience working with or in the utility industry

Technical & Skills Qualifications
  • Expert knowledge of cloud concepts - iPaaS, SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
  • Broader knowledge on various iPAAS platforms and their pros & cons
  • Knowledge on ERP, CRM products like Salesforce, SAP, ARCGIS
  • Advanced knowledge of MuleSoft technologies - Anypoint, Cloud Hub & Run Time Fabric
  • Technology Portfolio planning experience from a 1 to 5-year time horizon
  • Vendor contract management & licensing capacity planning experience
  • Software development experience - CI/CD
  • Experience in Architecting integration solutions using API and web technologies
  • Ability to present business cases and project proposals to Executive level audience
  • Ability to explain complex and abstract concepts verbally, via diagrams & presentations to inform and provide support for decision making
