The RoleOur world class Engineering and Infrastructure team is seeking a Principal Network and Systems Engineer responsible for designing, maintaining, and monitoring networks. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will provide leadership, vision, and be a subject matter expert for the worldwide networking infrastructure.

What you'll do: Building and managing and supporting complex software stacks on Linux and Windows. Running root cause analysis for infrastructure-related troubleshooting. Develop technical designs and solution recommendations. Partnering with vendors, internal IT Engineers and working with multiple business partners to develop solutions against departmental roadmaps. Partner with other internal engineering teams and third-party vendors to develop consistent and scalable solutions. Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to identify, remediate, and prevent issues & risks. Create process, provide guidance on, and help maintain standard operating procedures. Lead the development of innovative network security solutions and tools from concept to delivery with a focus on new technologies, particularly SASE, SWG, firewall, SD-WAN, SDN, data center segmentation and automation. Support adoption of new technologies and tools, recommend capability improvements, and assist in Lab, Software, and EDA workloads. Lead requirements gathering, prioritization, design, development, testing and execution of network engineering and security requests. Work closely with senior IT and business leaders to align IT activities with business objectives. Build strong cross-organizational relationships; effectively work with staff across the IT organization and the broader enterprise to align the network security technologies with overall organization needs.

Liaise with vendors and service providers to identify and select the products or services that best support the organization s global network strategies. Provide network performance and capacity guidance by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Identify emerging security solutions and in coordination with Global Security, evaluate products. Regularly communicate the status of network security initiatives to IT leadership and internal business partners. Be a mentor to other team members and lead through example by influencing the use of standards defined by the team and technical leadership. Continually improve the network monitoring and evaluate network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency. Work closely with the HPC and DevOps groups in designing, deploying, and providing ongoing network support.

What you ll bring: 8+ year experience in a related role. Experience with the following: o Network and Systems Engineering for Corporate Infrastructure o Configuration Management o Managing scalable storage o Developing and maintaining supporting metrics for systems o Cloud Environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, and Google Cloud Platform) Experience in recommending, designing, implementing, maintaining, state-of-the-art network hardware and software systems. Network & Infrastructure scaling experience specific to medium to large size organizational growth (1,000 to 5,000 employees). Experience with virtual network environments, datacenter technologies including Cisco and Arista, WAN networking technologies (including SD-WAN), and network security technologies from providers like Zscaler and Cato Networks. Hands-on experience in designing and deploying large scale network security technologies. Prior experience in multi-vendor networking technologies. Must be proficient in network architecture and design, network security, and network monitoring. Strong documentation and communication skills. Strong foundation in dynamic routing protocols (i.e EIGRP, OSPF, BGP). Experience or background with automation using Terraform, Ansible, and/or Python Experience with packet analysis and flow monitoring tools Strong knowledge of Network Access Control systems. Experience with cloud based monitoring and related network and/or systems monitoring Experience working with highly effective engineering teams through major technology transitions. Strong understanding of Data Center network segmentation projects. Knowledge of working with Agile development frameworks. Must have good working knowledge of (Linux RHEL/CentOS and Ubuntu). Strong monitoring background. A big plus if you come with experience in: o EDA tools from Synopsys, Mentor, Cadence, Ansys, etc o Schedulers like Platform LSF, PBS, Accelerator, etc. o Scale-out storage solutions like Dell-EMC Isilon Ability to be flexible, decision oriented, and motivated to support management initiatives. Ability to translate business needs to technical solutions. Able to quickly adapt to fast changing priorities and deadlines. Able to work with minimum supervision. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication. Team oriented approach. Demonstrates a consultative approach to strategic decisions with a particular emphasis on design and delivery Current or held advanced network or security related certifications (e.g., Cisco, Arista, CCISE, or relevant industry certification, etc.)

Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience
