Position: Principal QA Engineer

: Tustin, CA

Position Summary: Principal QA Engineer focuses on taking initiative on helping the QA team develop our automated test suites for Zigzy mobile apps and web technologies. This role is a key player of a growing team working on new testing technologies to streamline testing processes and communications between product, support, and development. By having a clear understanding of our product and its acceptance criteria, collaborating with different facets and upholding the products’ integrity. Responsibilities
  • Take initiative on enforcing QA framework and best practices.
  • Help train new resources into understanding automation process and practices.
  • Become the main contact point for technical implementation for automation.
  • Expertise in various design patterns & frameworks for automat
  • Design and develop test automation scripts usingC# & Selenium based on the existing automation framework.
  • Able to create custom x-paths and generate reliable web-element identifiers for Selenium API.
  • Able to code and executefunctional automation scripts with minimal supervision.
  • Expertise in integrating automated test scripts on CI/CD platforms like Azur
  • Experience in using cross-platform testing tools such as Browserstackfor both manual & automated testing.
  • Pick up manual test cases fromsprints and convert them to functional automated scripts on continual basis.
  • Find more efficient ways to design, develop, maintain and execute functional automatio
  • Provide accurate report of test progress to the QA Leadership team.
  • Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Assist in manual testing whenever needed.
  • Proficient with API testing using Postman, Swagger.
  • Experienced in creating & running SQL queries.
  • Expertise in performance, security & load testing.
  • Work closely with BAs to understand user stories and its acceptance criteria.
  • Provide creative feedback to team to help guide testing framework design process.
  • Communicate impediments and blocked tasks.
  • Takes initiative to respond to all team messages, comments, and emails to ensure that development continues to move forward.
  • Maintain a positive and excited attitude so your team feeds off that energy.
  • Step outside of the comfort zone to learn new skill sets that pertain to our technology needs.
  • Be a team player among other members.

Qualifications

Desired Competencies

:
  • Proficientin following languages, tools and technologies: C#, Typescript, Selenium, Protractor, Appium, Postman, Swagger, SQL etc.
  • Experience with source/version control systemssuch as GIT.
  • Understanding of branching strategies and merging.
  • Excellent analytical, Interpersonal and Communication skills, fast learner, hardworking and good team player.
  • Abilityto work independently.
  • Knowledge of mortgage specific terminologies is a plus.

Desired Education/Experience

:
  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineerwith automation focus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience.

Work Authorization

: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
