Process Scientist III

Contract Length: 1 years, with potential to extend and/or convert FTE

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • The day to day scientific duties of the position will be to optimize and execute quantitative ELISAs for the measurement of process related impurities, and also the routine maintenance of ELISA lab equipment.
  • The position will independently execute experiments, analyze, and summarize data. Activities will also include data review and compilation/presentation of analytical data.
  • Participation in preparation of technical documentation such as analytical methods, method qualification protocols, and reports is expected.
  • The position may also interface with quality control scientists to provide training and support for GMP qualified methods.
  • Equipment used will include plate readers, plate washers, electronic multichannel pipettes.
  • The position will be a fully integrated member of the scientific team; attending the core scientific team meetings. Growth in the scientific area of the job is expected and encouraged. Cell-based bioassay and binding experience a plus.

Summary of Qualifications:

  • BS with 5-8 years' experience with analytical methods, or MS with 4+ years' experience.
  • Experience in quantitative ELISAs and SoftMax Pro required.
  • Technical documentation (SOPs, scientific reports) required.
  • Experience with optimization of analytical methods in a process science environment preferred.
  • Cell-based bioassay and binding experience a plus.
  • Microsoft Office programs such as: Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively in a team environment.
