Procurement Manager

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager in Carson, California. This role primarily involves overseeing purchasing operations, ensuring the accuracy of supply chain processes, and managing relationships with key suppliers. The job function spans across various industries, making it necessary for the candidate to have a broad understanding of ERP solutions, logistics, materials handling, and supply chain logistics.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize efficiency and productivity. Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers to reduce costs and improve quality including on-time deliveries. Utilize ERP solutions to streamline procurement processes and enhance operational efficiency. Implement e-sourcing tools to find the best suppliers and distributors. Apply knowledge of commodity management to control costs and manage commodities. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand for services and products. Develop strategies to create a cost-effective procurement process. Work closely with others within the procurement function to define the best ways to increase procurement efficiency. Utilize Oracle Supply Chain Management for effective supply chain operations. Manage and control all procurement processes including selection and management of suppliers, negotiations, and cost savings. Requirements Proven experience in a Procurement Manager or similar role within a corporate setting Proficient in procurement software such as '3M', 'About Time', 'Oracle Supply Chain Management' and 'ERP Solutions' Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as dexterity in 'reading' the market Experience in 'CapEx' and 'ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning' is a must Proficiency in 'e-sourcing' and 'Commodity Management' tools Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data to produce cost saving strategies Experience in 'Logistics', 'Materials Handling', and 'Supply Chain Logistics' Knowledge of 'Cost Savings' strategies and techniques Good understanding of supply chain procedures Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong decision-making skills and the ability to appraise and improve our ordering process Proven history in improving supply chain efficiency and performance Ability to work within a team and lead a team Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and purchasing software Ability to multitask and handle multiple client accounts Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically Solid attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
