About the Role:

The UX Product Designer II will be part of a high-impact team dedicated to transforming how users experience SVB and help us implement our digital transformation strategy. The ideal candidate is:
  • An experienced and creative UX designer who is deeply passionate about design, product, and the end-to-end user experience
  • A team player who excels at partnering across Product and Engineering to understand user goals, requirements, and design solutions with the customer at the center.
  • Able to break down complex problems and provide human-centric solutions through excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently, quickly and reliably in a creative environment with a keen attention to detail
  • Able to thrive in a world of ambiguity and incomplete data , and is driven to synthesize inconsistent stakeholder input into tangible design explorations that are substan tiated with research insights

Once Here, You Will:
  • Partner with other UX Designers to follow best practices and deliver consistently on-brand, world-class design solutions
  • Work within an agile environment to create design assets
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and other cross functional stakeholders to understand business objectives, needs, and constraints
  • Create high quality UX deliverables based on user goals and priorities, including wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, and interactive prototypes using Figma
  • Partner with user research team to execute research plans and agenda
  • Provide insights to the product development team and document user goals, needs, motivations and pain points through user personas, use cases, and experience maps
  • Communicate complex design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences at varying levels of the organization with minimal conflict and complications between collaborative and cross-functional personnel
  • Leverage user insights from user research to make recommendations to improve the user experience and create new concepts to bring those recommendations to life
  • Provide guidance to UI/UX style guides to support core brand look and feel and help ensure designs stay on-brand and on-trend
  • Use strong storytelling and presentation skills to communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of human-centered design process in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including product ideation and definition, UX design, and user research, detailed design and optimization

What You'll Bring:
  • A strong portfolio of work exemplifying a deep understanding of UI/UX lifecycle to define user experiences, visual and interaction design through human-centered design solutions (flows, prototypes, and user feedback)
  • A collaborative Design Thinking mindset and a Lean UX approach
  • Experience delivering on multiple projects in various stages of the product lifecycle in a highly asynchronous , dynamic environment
  • A deep knowledge of Figma and other tools for generating low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, as well as JIRA for partnering with developers
  • A knowledge of design, repository, story and backlog management tools and resources
  • A history of designing omni-channel experiences, including desktop, mobile web and mobile app experiences ()
  • A knowledge of current web technology capabilities and cross-device considerations
  • An ability to communicate respectfully when challenging assumptions and tactful style when receiving feedback
  • 3+ years' experience with a background in the financial services industry (preferred)
  • A Bachelor's or master's degree in the study of design including one of the following: Design, Information Architecture, HCI, or equivalent project/portfolio experience (preferred)Experience working in and an understanding of an Agile development environment
