Product Development Assistant

In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Product Development Assistant who is passionate about education to join our Research, Design, and Development team. In this role, you will support our development team during all stages of product creation, from conducting research and brainstorming ideas to conducting real-world product testing. The ideal candidate will have excellent collaboration skills, strong organizational and project management skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the delivery of outstanding products and play experiences. This role offers lots of hands-on experience with the product development cycle and cross-functional business processes, with plenty of potential for future growth. And we’re here to help you succeed — in 2022, Lakeshore earned its Great Place to Work® Certification™ and is proud to put its associates first.This role will be onsite full time.A day in the office looks like this: Assisting product developers with daily product-related tasksConducting market/education research to support our product developersParticipating in product brainstorming sessionsCreating product mock-ups and PowerPoints for product presentationsSetting up product and photo displays for meetingsCreating inspection sheetsUsing our products to ensure an excellent customer experienceHands-on product use testing with various materials for durabilityPartnering with the Art and Editorial teams to create content for product guides, packaging, and other componentsEnsuring the timely communication of product information, such as final product names, to cross-functional teamsObserving and documenting real-world testing with intended users.
