Product Manager: SaaS product (B2B preferred); legal &/or banking, lead (over a team), &/or replatforming desktop product to web/cloud a big + The Senior Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering client feedback and insights, planning and prioritizing initiatives, translating requirements from the client and business domains, coordinating launch activities, defining the product vision and strategy, defining acceptance criteria, measuring progress to goal, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment around strategic business goals. The Senior Product Manager manages a small group of Product Owners, and demonstrates advanced skills in the areas of communication, strategic planning, coordination, and data-driven decision making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients to understand their unmet needs, pain points, and desires; then translate those needs into formal business initiatives with well-defined success criteria.
  • Partner with executives to understand business goals that help identify opportunities, and articulate solutions in support of those goals.
  • Partner with senior development and design managers to provide clear goals and direction, including release targets and acceptance criteria, to product development teams.
  • Develop and manage a product strategy; constantly developing and communicating attributes that differentiate and distinguish our organization and products from competitors.
  • Manage product roadmaps that lead to client success and satisfaction.
  • Generate and manage an actionable backlog of insights that is informed by direct client feedback, internal client-facing team feedback, competitive intelligence, and behavioral data.
  • Work closely with, and provide informational tools, to sales, marketing, client success, and support, to ensure that business goals are met.
  • Lead and facilitate client feedback sessions, client advisory boards (CAB), and major workshops.
  • Manage initiative scope and provide clear acceptance criteria to teams, with emphasis on increasing product adoption, revenue growth, and return on investment.
  • Provide business domain expertise and act as a subject matter expert (SME) in support of product sales, support, and development.
  • Produce clear and concise written communications, and initiate change requests that impact business requirements.
  • Assess and anticipate issues, risks, and business impacts and develop business cases.
  • Apply appropriate business systems analysis and project management methods and techniques to deliver work products across multiple phases of a project/sprint.
  • Independently identify and articulate opportunity spaces based upon analytical skills and business domain knowledge.
  • Systematically address business/partner stakeholder problems as well as technical problems.
  • Be responsible for the business requirements and release schedules associated with multiple parallel development projects.
  • Travel as necessary to participate in key sales product demos, tradeshows, and team events.

Requirements
  • B

    achelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology (or similar) is a plus
  • Banking or legal experience is a plus
  • 3-5+ years of Product Management experience that includes:
    • An ability / skill at gathering / documenting reqs for product development (epics, user stories, use cases, etc.)
    • Full product life cycle experience
    • Experience engaging w/ external customers to gather feedback on the product to inform the product roadmap
    • Experience leading a team (project-wise) is helpful. You will be over a small team of Junior Product Managers who you will help mentor on writing reqs in Jira (for product development)
  • Experience working w/ SaaS products is required. B2B solutions is preferred.
    • If you've worked on desktop apps / products that were replatformed to the web / cloud that's very helpful
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Software Development ticketing tools (e.g. Jira (preferred))
  • Proficiency with roadmap tools (e.g. Aha) preferred.
  • Travel as necessary to participate in key sales product demos, tradeshows, and team events.
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills
