Position: Solutions Architect (Product owner) Location: Sunnyvale CA or Atlanta GA FTE role. Only W2. They are looking for a solutions architect Job Description This position is responsible to operate as a partner and trusted advisor for the manufacturing and service business applications and solutions. This individual will be responsible for managing the manufacturing and service manufacturing operations product health, overall architecture, ongoing improvements, roadmap, future outlook with the business teams and leadership included. They will also be responsible for determining the different solution and feasible technologies available as it meets specific business needs. Examine current business landscape and determine the best solution that meets the business needs of productivity, efficiency while still adhering to industry best practices and standard solution methodologies. Cross functionally work with other IT Product owners to clearly identify roadmap ahead as the solution needs crosses over into other IT realms. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Creates a vision of the manufacturing operations through extensive knowledge of the system, business needs, and future trends of the solutions in industry.
- Partner with business teams and leadership to understand the direction of the business:
- Fully understand the pulse of the business and leadership vision
- Always be a step ahead of the business vision to showcase the solution options available for specific business needs.
- Responsible for strategy fit of the application solutions to enterprise landscape, with ensuring that the technical debt burden is lowest , and adhering to architecture guidelines.
- Manage the overall product ongoing enhancements pipeline and ensure the fit of user requirements with overall strategy, vision and roadmap.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the business value proposals for IT initiatives working in conjunction with business center of excellence.
- Accountable for technology direction, evaluation and commissioning of the prioritized application solutions.
- Work closely with the other IT Product Owners from Manufacturing, Supply chain, finance, logistics, and architecture governance teams to determine and define the future roadmap for specific areas and applications as it pertains to Manufacturing.
- Drive brainstorming meetings and lead the project blueprint meetings. Document processes, decisions and resulting specifications in a blueprint document ready for systems implementation.
- Lead vendor engagement discussions as needed for solution evaluation and any proof of concepts deliveries.
- Interface on a day to day basis with all IT Product owners, solution architects, architecture team, analysts and coach as needed to arrive at consensus of the solution vision alignment with the business requirements.
- Accountable for analyzing the impacts of any solution proposed or in discussion to be always in compliance with medical device regulations, architecture principles, cost, business change management and longevity of the direction.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or any other related field.
- Manging and delivering large, complex enterprise applications and business solutions aligned to business roadmap efficiently managing cross-functional business outcomes.
- Ability to listen, understand and then communicate very clearly on every aspect of potential solution is a key.
- Excellent organizational written and oral presentation skills. Experience working with senior most business leadership is required.
- Ability to strongly facilitate and channel discussions is a must. Ability to draw out the best from the participants in the meeting towards the meeting goal is a critical capability.
- Experience mapping business processes and associated requirements is required.
- Ability to work independently without daily supervision is required.
- Knowledge of IT change management tools and methodologies is required
- Minimum 15+ years of SAP business systems analysis in end-to-end delivery of projects experience. Preferable to have medical device or life sciences industry.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong production, operations, or systems manufacturing experience. Strong experience in the planning, scheduling and execution functions of SAP PP for discrete and repetitive environments in a make-to-order or make-to-stock environment is a must.
- Strong hands on SAP PP configuration experience.
- Hands on experience in designing and implementation of SAP and non-SAP landscapes
- Must have experience working in discrete, repetitive, MTO, MTS manufacturing, service manufacturing operations, integration with 3rd party softwares and demonstrated ability to explain the execution of at least 3 projects end-to-end in an overall ownership role.
- Expert in Manufacturing BOM, Routings, Work center, Planning Calendar
- Expert in Business and configuration of SAP modules
- A very good expertise in the areas of planning and advance planning functions, logistics integration is sure to be an advantange and a desired skill.
- Knowedge of SAP Warehouse Management, Quality Management integration and exposure to Extended warehouse management will be an advantage.
- Deep understanding of the integration with other ECC (SAP) modules and non SAP software is required.
- At least four SAP implementations in a lead role.
- Experience in GxP systems and Computer System Validation in a regulated environment is certainly preferred.
