Our client is a pioneer and a market leader in robotic-assisted surgery, who strives to foster an inclusive and diverse team, committed to making a difference working with hospitals and care teams around the world to help solve some of healthcare's hardest challenges and advance what is possible. They are looking for a Product Owner-Supply chain to help define the solutions for Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Capacity/production planning and Distribution planning. Position: Product Owner - Supply Chain Location is Sunnyvale CA, or Atlanta GA Position details: As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining the solutions for Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Capacity/production planning and Distribution planning that are reusable and scalable across Business units and Global operations. You will own shared understanding across the project spectrum, from high-level business objectives to detailed functionality. And you will guide development teams towards continuous improvement across a range of solutions and methodologies. Primary functions would involve:

  • Contribute to business strategy and vision, to guide delivery teams in the right direction.
  • Create and manage product roadmaps, to communicate how the product vision will be realized over time.
  • Work with key business stakeholders to define requirements and author user stories, to ensure solution in for Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Capacity/production planning and Distribution planning function will produce desired business outcomes.
  • Manage product backlogs, ensure that delivery teams are equipped with the understanding they'll need, to deliver designed solution.
  • Work with key stake holders and own the metrics that are most valuable to the business.
  • Plan sprints/iterations, to focus the team on regular delivery of solutions.
  • Quality Assurance on solutions, and support testing efforts to ensure that product team activities will meet quality success criteria.
  • Create and manage BCM's (Business Capability Mapping) to communicate progress towards achieving desired solution maturity outcomes.
  • Facilitate a range of methodologies, initiatives to guide the delivery and solution team towards a mindset of constant learning and continual improvement.
Responsibilities:
  • Own, manage and design solutions in Forecasting, Supply Planning, Production planning, factory planning, material planning, distribution planning and transportation planning.
  • Conduct design sessions and testing sessions for supply chain planning business functions.
  • Own and drive BCM (Business Capability Mapping) with CoE teams.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting on active projects and product solutions.
  • Working with cross business function's (Source,Make,Deliver,Return) product owners and drive impact assessments and build future product roadmap.

  • Comfortable with solving complex problems and have a passion for clarifying the ambiguous and ensuring widespread understanding.
  • Have a knack for seeing what's missing and asking the questions others don't consider.
  • Document visually, provoking reactions that build understanding to move teams forward.
  • Ability to gain and grow the trust of business SME's and team members.
  • Can lead product definition in an environment with rapidly changing information across multiple projects and business operations.
  • Passionate about user-centered design approaches, and continuously work to enhance newer technological skills and develop team.
  • Show and Practice proactive approach in designing solutions considering "what If" business scenarios and scalability.
  • Excellent attention to detail, yet flexible in approach.
  • Recognize when the experiences are good and can articulate to others WHY they are good.
  • Excellent communicator with the skills to synthesize and personalize approaches, plans and recommendations across a wide range of audiences and roles.
  • Great at managing competing priorities and are able to identify prioritized work for yourself and delivery teams.
  • Knowledge of Advanced planning systems like: APO,o9,Kinaxis etc
Required Experience and Education:
  • B.S. in a technical field and or M.S degree desired
  • Preferred CPIM, CSCP certification.
  • Preferred Medical Device industry experience.
  • Must have life sciences industry experience.
  • 15+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, or Product Owner
  • Strong portfolio of work demonstrating the ability to lead teams to deliver planning solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in business process analysis in Supply chain planning, Supply operations and inventory controls.
  • Must have experience in data analytics and linear programming.
  • Must have experience with constrained based MRP solvers/algorithms.
  • Must have experience showing advanced MS Excel skills and demonstrated data modeling.
