Your Role

The Medicare Duals team oversees the growth, strategy, performance, and policy advocacy/implementation of Blue Shield of California's dual-eligible populations, mainly those enrolled in our Dual Special Needs Plans. The Duals Program Coordinator will report to the Senior Manager, Duals Program Integrity. This position will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation and tracking of the Medicare Duals team program requirements. Work involves coordination of work effort across internal departments to execute against program requirements, development and monitoring of program/project metrics and ongoing process improvement. You will also support the development, implementation, and facilitation of quarterly Enrollee Advisory Committees.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Model behaviors aligned with Blue Shield of California's mission and Great Place to Work goals
  • Responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and communication of the processes, programs and/or services regarding dual-eligible members and products
  • Assist with development, implementation, and documentation of quarterly Enrollee Advisory Committee meetings for Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan members
  • Assist with outreach strategies to engage community members and organizations in support of Blue Shield's program initiatives
  • Assist with tracking timelines, organizing comments and supporting meetings with the Department of Health Care Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
  • Work interdepartmentally to fulfill requests from regulators regarding dual-eligible plans or policies
  • Assist with creating and monitoring reports, key performance indicators and service level agreements related to dual-eligible members and products
  • Responsible for large/complex projects/programs

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires health plan project management experience
  • Requires strong presentation development experience including working cross functionally to gather information
  • Requires ability to interpret reporting requirements and establish monitoring processes
  • Knowledge of Medicare, dual-eligible, and Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) programs strongly preferred
  • Experience working with State and Federal regulators strongly preferred
  • Community engagement or member advisory committee experience strongly preferred
