Job Description: Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:

Title: Design Program Manager IIIAs a Design Program Manager III, you will work collaboratively with our design, product and engineering teams. You will help our designers work within an Agile framework as a shared resource across multiple scrum teams. Improve existing processes and explore new ways for design to work.

Your day to day will consist of various design related activities:Partnership with Design Program Manager LeadAssist in managing other Design team membersGathering requirements/storiesManage design team allocationCoordinating deliverables and managing design backlogsIdentifying and mitigating delivery risksMaintain transparency between design and our cross-functional partnersExperience in the JIRA environment is a plus

Key Responsibilities:Actively leads the design team and is recognized by stakeholders as UED's single Point-of-Contact.Acts as scrum master for UED team backlog: attends release planning, runs stand ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies, as required.Tracks all major project milestones and deliverables.Ensures that design sprint plans meet broader timelines for any dependencies with our technology organization and business partners.Oversees design resource allocation, ensuring design resources are not over or under allocated.Identifies project risks and formulates and implements risk mitigation techniques to minimize issues.Demonstrates the ability to handle project ambiguity and lead delivery teams to identify creative solutions.Schedules and manages team meetings and communicates assignments to ensure timely delivery, while also ensuring meetings are efficient and minimizedSupports the design team's implementation of standards and design guidelinesPrepares management reporting, including status, project health and financialsEnsures all applicable reviews and sign-offs are in placeCreates partnerships with Product and Technology organizations, particularly the Product PGM to drive end-to-end execution

Job Requirements5+ years of applicable eCommerce design experience, preferably in project and program managementExperience working closely with designers and partnersAgile experience desired.User Experience background is highly desired, but not required.Excellent communications & interpersonal skills

EducationBachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Design (or equivalent experience)
