Position Overview:Responsible for managing regulatory investigations, accrediting or regulatory survey related activities and ensuring processes are in place to enforce policies and procedures that reflect current, best practice for all services across Mills-Peninsula Medical Center (MPMC). This individual has responsibility for all licensed sites across all locations of MPMC and ensures targeted surveillance, internal and external plans of correction, communication with management on non-compliant findings, and SBAR communication to the Senior Team. The individual is responsible and accountable for timely mandated reporting of defined reportable events to the Local and Central Offices of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). The position requires the skill, critical thinking and performance improvement knowledge of a Registered Nurse or other clinical staff member who will be independently driven and deal with sensitive confidential and regulatory information on a daily basis. This role has the primary responsibility for the development, communication, implementation and tracking of action plans necessary to close identified gaps in care and patient safety and/or compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Title 22 regulations. This individual must have the skill set to formulate teams of clinical and support staff to make necessary changes and/or improvements in the organization's work process to assure patient safety and compliance with all regulations and licensing requirements.Qualifications:Required:BS Nursing or other Healthcare Clinical Field

State Licensure: Registered Nurse or Clinical Specialty

3-5 years of experience in participating in Joint Commission/CMS/CDPH surveys. Preferable to have regulatory experience in the state of California

3-5 years of experience in healthcare delivery, project management or performance improvement

3-5 years of experience demonstrating ability to form, lead and facilitate multidisciplinary teams to achieve stated goals

Preferred:MA/MS Nursing, Health Care Administration, or Business

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
