Project DirectorResponsible for working with management to identify and implement varied projects, programs, and plans that support the achievement of business unit and enterprise goals. Partners with the sales team on strategies and related activities and/or with Marketing/Product on new products/services, and implementations.Responsible for identifying key people to bring about change and developing a network of contacts and targeting specific people to achieve project goals and objectives. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:Manages projects across business units, regions, or the enterprise;

Influences at all levels within the organization, often setting strategy and direction;

Coaches and mentors project team members; mentors other project managers around project management methodology;

Determines project scope;

Develops resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans;

Develops training plans;

Defines, recommends and secures contractual agreements for services and products;

Coordinates requirements, schedules implementation and post-implement plans, and develops service-level agreements for vendor partners and global resources firms; develops requirements documents;

Develops project approval matrix; identifies project team training and tool needs; defines quality gates for each project methodology phase;

Defines critical success factors; establishes and manages the project warranty period.

Anthem will also follow all relevant federal, state, and local laws.Minimum Requirements: Requires a BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of 9 years professional project management experience, which at least 7 years are spent leading and directing large project tasks; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.Preferred Qualifications: Awareness of significant contributing factors to manage project change and demonstration of a solid understanding of end-to-end business processes and the critical IT dependencies strongly preferred. Masters in Project Mgt preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.Applicable to Colorado Applicants OnlyAnnual Salary Range: $117,264 - $146,580Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans.
