Our company is a premier contractor who has designed, built, and maintained water features throughout Northern California for over six decades. We are seeking a Construction Project Coordinator/Project Engineer to join our team with long term growth opportunities.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
Assisting Project Managers and project team with estimating, project documentation and control
Job cost accounting, field scheduling, and construction supervision
Provide administrative support to project management team
Meeting notes/minutes production
Travel to jobsites as needed
Able to perform all essential Entry Level/Intern Project Engineer responsibilities
Attend and document project meetings (write minutes)
Set up and maintain electronic filing system
Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications, and logs
Assist with preparation of CPM schedules
Create and transmit construction submittal package
Compile contracts close out documents (O&M manuals, as-builts, etc.)
Maintain record set drawings, ASI and As Built Revisions
Document punch list work
Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience either in the field in the trades or in construction project management.
2 year college
Basic understanding of construction cost accounting
Basic computer skills
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
Effective organizational skills
Effective written and verbal English language communication skills
Motivated, dependable, able to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
Strong skills to organize work effectively to achieve timely progress on multiple simultaneous projects.
Skills to work with diverse groups to achieve cooperation.
Demonstrated ability to define problems, develop methodologies for solving problems, perform analyses and summarize findings, and develop and implement recommendations
Good time management
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to read construction drawings/blueprints
Knowledge of project management, the construction industry, and construction/legal terminology.
Familiarity with building codes, plans, and specifications.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Must possess a valid and clean California license
Ability to travel to multiple within the Greater Bay Area
