The Role

As a Project Estimator, you’ll develop accurate budgets and competitive bids for hospital and clinic projects, partnering with PMs, supers, vendors, and clients. You’ll read plans/specs, perform takeoffs, level subcontractor proposals, assess risk, and recommend cost-savings without compromising quality or regulatory requirements. You’ll work heavily in our construction management platform, plus MS Office, PDF tools, and scheduling software.

What You’ll Do

Review drawings, specs, addenda; scope gaps and clarifications

Perform quantity takeoffs (architectural, structural, MEP/LV as applicable)

Build detailed cost models, unit pricing, and bid summaries

Solicit, track, and level subcontractor and vendor quotes

Write scope sheets and inclusions/exclusions; flag risk and assumptions

Prepare and present estimates to leadership and project stakeholders

Support precon (VE options, alternates, long-lead items, logistics)

Hand off estimates to project teams; assist with schedule inputs

Maintain historical cost data and actuals for continuous improvement

Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and trade partners

What You Bring

3+ years’ estimating experience in commercial construction (healthcare preferred)

Strong blueprint/spec reading and technical writing skills

Advanced computer skills: MS Office, email/Outlook, PDF tools; familiarity with scheduling and construction/project management software

Organized, proactive, detail-driven; able to work with urgency and adapt to changes

Clear, professional communication with internal teams and external partners

Valid driver’s license; ability to visit local jobsites as needed

Physical ability to perform typical office and occasional site-walk tasks (e.g., walking jobsites; lifting up to 25 lbs).

Nice to Have

Healthcare experience (HCAI/OSHPD processes, ICRA awareness)
