The Federal Reserve Financial Services has a fantastic opportunity to join our FedCash Services Transition Management Team as a Project Manager! FedCash Services is responsible for the strategic direction and national support of the Federal Reserve Cash Services. As a Transition Management Project Manager, you will work closely with application development teams and our automated materials handling vendor to design standard, repeatable processes for cash offices to follow and ensure delivery of projects for software applications and hardware components.

Project Manager

Provides expertise and direction on small to large-scale technology-based complex projects. Offers varying levels of project management oversight and directly influences activities on business-critical projects from the conceptual phase through solution implementation and project close. Utilizes project management principles and processes to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, adhere to quality standards, and meet customer expectations and business needs. Key aspects of the responsibilities will include a blend of project management, business analysis, customer support, and facilitating interaction with vendors and stakeholders.

Essential Accountabilities
  • Manages multiple technology and hardware equipment projects of varying complexity concurrently.
  • Develops and maintains detailed project plans that clearly define the requirements, identify resource needs, establish clear and achievable objectives, and balance competing demands to ensure the project is completed on time and is within the approved budget.
  • Collaborate with clients and other resources to identify risk/issues and recommend process improvement and corrective action plans to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitors and evaluates progress and performance against the project plan and coordinates methods to resolve issues and minimize delays.
  • Generates timely and appropriate communications to clients and resources regarding the status of projects by preparing detailed status reports and coordinating presentations.
  • Ensures cross-project dependencies are identified to establish priorities in project completion.
  • Manages vendor and contractor relationships as necessary.
  • Ensures that projects comply with the Program and Project Management PPM standard, which defines the required actions and controls to plan and deliver successful Federal Reserve technical projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 to 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred or ability to receive certification within 18 months of hire date.
  • Equipment Management System (EMS) knowledge and experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Cash operations is a plus.

Physical Demands and General Working Conditions
  • Traditional office environment: Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
  • May be required to work non-standard business hours or on-call assistance on an as-needed basis.
