Join VIP: A strategic approach to accelerate your career! This role is a remote role based at the client site in Sacramento, CA.

We are looking for strong Project Managers who will assist in completing a variety of projects and tasks. These services will include Information Technology (IT) project-related work such as analyzing existing business processes, developing and implementing new processes, developing user requirements, managing projects, writing reports, evaluating software products, conducting briefings, drafting policies and procedures, developing project management plans, and a variety of other IT project-related tasks. Project management practices will adhere to the Project Management institute's (PMI), Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) guidelines and practices, as well as those included in the California Project Management Methodology (CA-PMM). They will work on projects including, but not limited to the following:
  • FARO Portfolio
  • PeopleSoft
  • CASAS Enhancements
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

1) Project Management, including performing the role of Project Manager, facilitate, conduct meetings, and present to the project team, project sponsor, and stakeholders.

2) Define project scope through requirements elicitation sessions, perform business process analysis, create related documentation.

3) Identify and document Fit/Gap Analysis when delivered business processes and procedures require modification. Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix to manage business requirements. Review and providing feedback on decisions pertaining to new system processes and practices as they relate to system strategies.

4) Prepare and submit documents using the California Department of Technology's Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) templates.

5) Develop Organizational Change Management (OCM) plans and leading OCM efforts.

6) Conduct all project processes and development of project artifacts, including but not limited to Master Schedules, Resource cost estimating and management, conduct risk assessments, conduct IT solution alternatives analysis.

7) Develop and conduct training sessions for requirements, business process review strategies, documentation.

8) Provide project oversight and direct staff as assigned, develop, and maintain reporting templates, both weekly and monthly reporting for executive review.

9) Develop test data that meets test scenario and script needs for delivered and HCD-modified business process and procedures. Assist staff as needed, with system test, User Acceptance testing prior to releasing new and/or modified functionality to system testing and resolve all levels of defects and issues discovered by users and by members of the Support Team. Lead the team's efforts throughout the SDLC related to supporting implementation of any new system functionality changes including application upgrades and updates and structural maintenance installation of patches, bugs, and fixes while specifically focusing on identifying any effects of these application and system changes to existing system functionality.
