Public Staff Tax Accountant

Description We are inviting applications for the role of Public Staff Tax Accountant located in Encino, California. The selected candidate will be expected to utilize their skills in Accounting Software Systems, CaseWare, and CCH Prosystem among others. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, focusing on accounting functions, auditing, compliance, and financial statement preparation.Responsibilities: Utilize various accounting software systems to manage and process customer credit applications Apply knowledge of Lacerte, CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, and CCH Prosystem to perform accounting functions Maintain and update accurate customer credit records using specific industry tools Handle client inquiries related to their accounts and provide resolutions Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations Assist in entity formation processes as per the requirements of the role Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting principles Use CCH ProSystem Fx for advanced accounting operations Ensure adherence to all industry specific rules and regulations in all operations.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must Familiarity with Lacerte, CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, CCH Prosystem, and CCH ProSystem Fx is required Capable of performing various Accounting Functions Experience in Auditing is necessary Understanding of Compliance procedures and regulations Knowledge of Entity Formation processes Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements Solid understanding of tax laws and regulations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
