Puppy Training School Manager

First, it's all about puppies.

Are you passionate about dogs and skilled in management? Established in 2014, Hillary’s Hound House in San Rafael is looking for a fantastic, kind, reliable and capable Manager. Our 4-week long Jumpstart Puppy Program®️ caters to all variety of breeds and ages ranging 8 weeks to 6 months celebrating 10 wonderful years with our close-knit community.

Responsibilities Include:

· Manage day-to-day operations of the nursery. We like to keep a calm and sweet environment. Our most played Pandora station is Native American Flute Music

· Oversee a class of 10 or more puppies—you’ll experience puppies of all stages with various character. Some may be shy or serious while others are excitable and hilarious! Understanding that a bark isn’t just a bark, the puppy may be signaling for potty, thirst, or attention.

· Work closely with Hillary (brainstorming new ways to keep our operations fun and productive.)

It's a highly enjoyable day. We shoot videos and train together all day. We go to the bay, beautiful parks, and Larkspur Landing where we train and laugh all afternoon.

Qualifications

· Minimum 5 years customer service or support experience

· Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in the same company

· At least 21 years of age with a clean driving record

· Reliable transportation to work

· Punctual and dependable

· Kind, attentive, compassionate, and loving for the four legged

· Strong leadership and organizational skills

· Excellent communication and customer service abilities

· Basic K9 knowledge (dog walker, pet sitter, currently have a dog, experience with dogs)

· This is a very active position. Must be able to run, jump and lift up to 20lbs of puppy physically and comfortably.

· Excellent multitasker able to juggle puppies, answer questions from clients and manage your Puppy Care Assistant.

· Previous experience in dog training not required but preferred. We will empower and teach you the Jumpstart Puppy Program®️ practice to ensure a safe and copacetic surrounding.

· Flexible for the occasional one-hour Wednesday Client Visits and/or Saturday Group Class

Hours: 8:30am to pm, Monday through Thursday (4-day work week)
