Purchasing Coordinator

Description We are looking for a skilled Purchasing Coordinator to join our client in Burbank, California. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will be responsible for procuring supplies, maintaining records of inventory, assisting in routine purchasing processes, and coordinating with the warehouse and production team. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Procure high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for business operations Follow procurement procedures consistently Maintain and update an accurate record of inventory Prepare relevant documents for purchase orders and deliveries Assist in routine purchasing processes and activities Monitor inventory levels and handle inventories, maintaining reports and databases Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and locate potential suppliers Coordinate with warehouse and production team to ensure prompt receipt of all purchased materials Maintain good relationships with suppliers or vendors for business continuity.Requirements

Proven experience as a Purchasing Clerk, or in a similar role, in the Manufacturing Industry.

Advanced knowledge in procurement regulations, procedures, and best practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), and data entry.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong negotiation abilities.

Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.

Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management is an added advantage.
