Python Automation System Test EngineerBay Area start-up environmental sensor company seeking an Automation System Test Engineer to be part of bringing products to market. Responsibilities· Write, modify and run Python test scripts on sensor technology.· Develop tooling, socket/ fixtures and automated testing for new and existing products and processes.· Internalize and characterize environmental sensor technology.· Setup instrumentation for various R&D experiments.· Collect data and process forms needed to characterize materials and devices.· Assist the team on the modeling of devices and transitioning processes from R&D to manufacturing.· Work with manufacturing personnel with troubleshooting, training, and resolving manufacturing process, assembly and testing issues.· Support product development (New Product Introduction) experiences and processes by creating work instructions and test procedures for new products being transferred to manufacturing. Qualifications· 5+ years of experience working from a product or systems engineering perspective.· Strong statistical analysis and experimental electronic circuit design capability.· Demonstrated competency with development and set-up of instrumentation for testing electrical, optical and ideally electrochemical systems.· Strong working knowledge of programming in Python, C/C, Excel, Access, SQL, Matlab, SAS, Windows, iOs and Droid.· Strong competency in statistics, extracting, organizing, and manipulating data.· Proven hands-on experience, analytic personality, capable of analyzing collected data, ability to identify systemic issues and reports findings to support engineering management.· Degree in a Quantitative field (CS/EE) or relevant experience. Desired Qualifications· Familiarity with embedded systems; specifically how controllers fit into test sensor Ideal Candidate· Familiarity with sensor technology· Experience with setting up instrumentation for test procedures· Familiar with embedded systems - specifically controller to fit into test sensor strongly desired· Strong competency working with MFG test and assembly with China· Familiarity with Windows platform environment desired· Good understanding of both Apple/ iOS and Droid platforms Type: Fulltime or Contract (12+ months)Location: Newark, CA (Hybrid – partial remote) Abel Lara | OSIJOBS
