QA Automation Testing Engineer

Job Summary:AppleCares Diagnostics & Repair Quality Engineering team is seeking candidates with a strong Python background to develop automation and assist in validating diagnostic and repair tools used in our world-wide field service channels.Youll be responsible for triaging the teams nightly automation results. This will involve writing tools to fingerprint known issues to automatically file bug tickets and manually reproducing issues as needed.Description:Triage automation results confirming results, testing methodology, collecting logging, and filing actionable, concise bug reports.Develop automated tooling to triage results and track to resolution.Develop new and expand existing automated tests and tooling.Assist with manual testing activities; developing automation as you test.Work closely with engineering and QA teams to build and maintain automated test suites; documenting and mitigating testing gaps.Use bug-tracking software to report and prioritize issues; work with developers and team leads to understand and pursue issues to resolution.Maintain lab systems and test hardware as needed to accomplish testing goals.Key Qualifications:4+ years of Python programming experience.2+ years of experience interacting with .Intermediate knowledge of Unix-based systems and command-line tools.Experience with source control technologies like Git.Experience in triaging, developing, debugging, executing, and monitoring automated tests.Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills.Education & Experience:BA/BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
