Job Description

The Position: Clinical development is rapidly intersecting with technologies that have classically been the domain of high-tech. These technologies can be transformative for clinical trials, but identifying appropriate solutions demand careful analysis and experimentation that often goes considerably beyond existing practices. Our Early Clinical Development (ECD) department within gRED is seeking a world-class Senior Full Stack Engineer to join its Digital Transformation Office. In this role, you will architect a healthcare data interoperability backend and support the implementation of a network of data exchanges with health care partners. The systems to be incorporated include but are not limited to: electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g. Epic, Cerner, MedTech), electronic data capture (EDC) systems (e.g. Medidata Rave, Medrio), lab systems (e.g. Covance, LabCorp), genomics systems and medical/consumer devices (e.g. FitBit, Apple Watch). You must possess not only an understanding of possible integrations and their implementations but also a higher-level strategy capability to guide pilot efforts into an embedded business function. You will be a key collaborator for a range of cross-functional stakeholders (ECD's Clinical Operations, Clinical Science, and Quality) and across multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology, neuroscience, metabolism, infectious disease, and others.

Responsibilities Build ECD's roadmap in data interoperability (via FHIR, HL7, EDC, EMR) Interface with external partners and evaluate their IT capabilities and potential for successful collaboration Project manage pilots and ongoing partnerships with external partners Champion influencer, organizer, collaborator and presenter of innovation opportunities

Skills Required: 15+ years experience in Healthcare IT/Pharma IT industry Demonstration of successfully leading projects and teams, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Experience developing software requirements and architectures to health IT standards; ideally with experience in HL7's Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard Functional understanding of regulatory considerations, e.g. Meaningful Use, HIPAA, 21st Century Cures Act, ONC certification Interpersonal skills, superb oral and written communication skills Skilled at presenting findings, recommendations and action plans to senior leaders Interpersonal skills, superb oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail A great team player, collaborative and excited about our mission
