QA Mobile Connectivity Test Engineer for global device company in Cupertino, CA.

You will test new features and data collection.You will reach out to the customers to collection information and conduct “User Scenario Testing”, a background in escalations or if they have spoken to customers in their previous roles will be a value add.We are not looking for automation experience. However, if a candidate has automation experience and wants to explore automation, the team can support this effort.We are open to candidate profiles that have more scripting experience or automation experience than QA testing.

Daily tasks include:You will be given a feature and they'll have to test it using our test plans. You can contribute to the test plan, by adding more test cases.You will be running through the test plan every day and do “User Scenario Testing.”In addition, you will also be running some performance tests which will be shown to them how to run.Once you run these tests, you'll identify issues and file them. Once those issues are filed, you will need to follow up with the Dev team to make sure we provide all the logs that are needed to get that issue to closure.Once the issue is closed go back to the build where the issue is closed test it again and make sure it is indeed closed.

Required Skillsets:
  • 2+ years of QA testing experience (Associate level) is a minimum
  • Scripting Language: Python (Preferred) or Perl
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Connectivity technology knowledge is a plus but not required
  • Customer Service experience required - “experience in talking to customers”. We are not looking for functional validation or performance validation it's more user scenario validation, if a candidate has prior experience working on products at other companies and if they were able to test it from a user's standpoint it is a plus. For example, finding quality bugs is super critical.

Duration: 6 months with 6 month extensions
